Five for Friday- July 3rd

I'm linking up with Doodlebugs Teaching for her Friday link up.

Summer is in full swing and it has been busy with baseball for my younger two and LAX for my oldest.  Ben is part of a tournament team of boys from two different schools.  Last weekend we played in IL and because Drew had a BB tourney near home, it was just Ben and me.

We ended up making it all the way to the semi-finals by beating a very arrogant and obnoxious team from Indiana that had smoked us the day before.  I had a great mother son bonding road trip with my oldest.  Lots of fun and six LAX games in two days.

We had dinner at Cooper's Hawk.  I love so many of their small plates.  Ben did not touch the beets and arugula, but he did devour the meatballs.  We also had calamari and chicken pot stickers and were not able to finish them all, but they were delish.

The boy needed some snacks for the hotel room so we set out to find the nearest Speedway.  All the dirt in the background is a torn up road our GPS was guiding us to get to Speedway.  Our quest for dill pickle chips was a fail, but he got some skittles and doritos.

I had the boys each choose a couple restaurants they want to lunch at this summer.  This was stop 2 of our summer lunch tour.  Cooper chose California Pizza Kitchen and then we went and got gelato for dessert.  It's good to be on summer vacation.

Last night was the first night of our 4th of July festivities.  Cooper had to ride some rides of course and Drew ditched us the moment we got there.  Ben didn't even bother coming because it must not be cool for HSers to hang out here.  It was unseasonably cold so there weren't as many people there as usual, but we still have fun hanging out and chatting with friends and the boys enjoyed some funnel cake.

I know it's blurry, but they were flying

Another photo that is blurry because they were moving so fast.
