Finally posting my Vista Print order

Last summer I remember seeing many teacher bloggers posting all of the classroom goodies they have purchased from Vista Print.  It seemed too good to be true, the quality of items they were able to purchase at such a low price.  I am here to tell you that it is true and free does mean free.  I got ten free items with my order and then my shipping was a bit over $40, so I ended up purchasing over $40 of product (in addition to my free items) and paying the same amount because shipping was free on orders over $40.

I placed my order on Dec 29th and it arrived on Jan 5th.  It finally showed up at the end of the day yesterday from the district office where it was dropped off the day before.  For some reason it was actually sent in three separate shipments.  I only paid $40.95 for all of this.  Talk about a steal of a deal!

I unpacked my order and took photos of my creations to share with all of you.  It was the last five minutes of Home Base at the end of the day and my students were checking out everything I bought.  They LOVED the posters and were so impressed that I designed them.  Who says middle schoolers don't show appreciation for the little things?

After school several teachers saw my goodies were oohing and aahing over everything.  If you are interested in anything from Vista Print feel free to click my referral below.  LMK if you have any questions.  I have seen some super creative things that other teachers have made.  The possibilities are limitless.   I cannot wait to do another order!

  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vista Print. I have been converting teachers for the past two years when they come in and see all of my orders. Your stuff came out great! I have my order ready to go...just waiting for the free shipping/$1 or $5 deals they do in the summer. LOVE it!

I tried visiting Vista Print, but all the "free" stuff came up with a charge. Also, I could not find banners that were that inexpensive. Do you have any hints or tricks to make that let you get all these products for $40.
Also, you Free Assignment cards, are they postcards or business cards?
Actually...it would be nice to have a reference for all the sizes of the items you displayed....they were all GREAT!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi!
With VistaPrint you have to wait until they have a say with lots of free stuff. When I placed my order in Dec they had many free items (and you could order a max of 10 free items), now normally you would just pay the shipping cost on those items. They were also running a deal where you got free shipping when you spent over $40 so I ordered $40 worth of non sale items to get the free shipping (instead of paying the shipping cost and not getting more items). You just have to watch when they have good sales. I know they do in the summer because last summer a ton of teachers were ordering stuff for their classrooms. If you follow my blog I will most likely do a post the next time they have a great deal so people know it's a good time to order. The free assignment cards are standard sized postcards., but they also sell larger postcards. The posters are different sizes and they give you the dimensions of each size on the vista print website. Hope this was helpful. I can't believe everything I got for $40! Can't wait for their next big sale.

  8. Sherrie,

I really like your "two minute countdown" poster and have adjusted to fit our school and my classroom policies. Could you please tell me what font and font size you used as well as what size poster?

    Thanks for the great ideas!

    1. Hi Mary
That poster is a large which is 24x36 and honestly way too large IMO. The medium is 18x24 which is more manageable in a classroom. I do not have any idea what size or which fonts I used. I designed that poster on Vista Print and the fonts are pretty limited so whatever I fonts I chose were from Vista Print. I also do not remember if I picked the sizes or not. I made that poster last Dec and I cannot get in to edit it and see any details. Sorry I couldn't help more.

  9. Hi Sherri,

This all looks great. What size vinyl sign did you get? I'm thinking small would work in my class because I don't have more than 2 feet above the board. Also what color did you use?

    1. Thanks! That is the small. The background was a premade template. I just added what was typed in black and pink. The vinyl is great because it holds up so well.
