I made myself some new day files for next school year. For those of you who are new, I have a five slot organizer that I put daily files in. Then any important information or handouts for that day would go into the daily file. This is a great week to have all your materials for the whole week at your fingertips. It's also an easy way to keep everything together when you have a sub.
These are very easy to make. I made just created a powerpoint slide and printed it out. Then I cut it and used a glue stick to adhere the paper to a manila file folder. You don't need to use a ton of glue, just enough to get the paper to stay when you laminate it. Then open the file folder, lay it flat, and put it through the laminator.
These files will last for years. I can't remember how many years ago I made my previous file, but the lamination was starting to peel away a bit. I decided it was time to make a new set.

Hi Sherrie,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on Pinterest and I really like your theme for your folders. I was going to attempt to recreate them for my classroom, but I cannot find your design anywhere. I searched my computer and went to Office.com and had no luck. Could you tell me the name of the design theme or could it be possible to email the file? I would be ever so appreciative! Thanks again for sharing all your great ideas, it's getting me excited to start the new year!
Sincerely,
