Your room looks great - you have ALL my fav colors as your theme: turquoise, lime green & hot pink. I totally went all out with turquoise & lime green everything a couple years ago, but was always too afraid of my hot pink obsession turning off the boys & inspiring loud & crazy classroom energy. Then I found that the lime was too harsh to look at sometimes, so I went to muted green & baby blue fabrics; but I definitely miss the tropical look I used to have. Target & Hobby Lobby are always ready to entice me with turquoise & lime accents - you probably know how that goes. :)

Antonia
forkin 4thforkin4thhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05840764148168567085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4393677513400791883.post-10096453675834053352012-07-05T19:06:39.517-05:002012-07-05T19:06:39.517-05:00I love your teaching corner! They are supposed to do homework on the looseleaf and they leave that sitting on the top of their desks. I walk around the room and stamp everyone's paper with a stamp of my initials, if the assign is complete. While I am walking around a checking the homework students are completing the warm-up in their notebooks. That way I don't have to wait for them to find homework, because it is on looseleaf.

After stamping we quickly correct the warm-up and then check homework. All answers are on the SMARTBoard so students self correct and then I answer questions or correct any misconceptions. This entire process (warm-up and assign check) takes between 5-10 min most days.

HTH!Sherriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16110420412281024292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4393677513400791883.post-80446985336249793342012-06-26T20:20:47.929-05:002012-06-26T20:20:47.929-05:00This is a very nice teacher nook you have! What is your process for the assignment checking/correcting and stamping that occurs after your warm ups? I find that I spend too much time on the warm ups and checking/correcting assignments and it often sacrifices lesson time.storrance1968https://www.blogger.com/profile/07898596546338794587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4393677513400791883.post-36438019265106118782012-06-26T16:50:33.325-05:002012-06-26T16:50:33.325-05:00Love it!
